Dr. Lisa Tomlinson – Treasurer

Dr. Lisa Tomlinson is a Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in the Department of Literatures in English. She teaches Caribbean and African diaspora film courses and Caribbean cultural studies. She is the author of the books entitled The African-Jamaican Aesthetic: Cultural Retention and Transformation Across Borders and Una Marson (Caribbean Biography Series). Her other publications include book chapters in Jamaicans in the Canadian Experience: A Multicultralizing Presence, Archipelagos of Sound: Transnational Caribbeanities: Women and Music,  Critical Insights: The Harlem Renaissance, and The Routledge Handbook to the Culture and Media of the Americas. She is currently the Deputy Festival Director and Chief Judge for the GATFFEST Film Festival and Co-Chair for the Film and Visual Arts committee (Caribbean Studies Association). Dr Tomlinson is also the Chief Adjudicator for the FiWI Short Film Competition with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission.
